1-inch cartridge -- Gatling or Nordenfelt?

This just popped up on Reddit. One of the posters there directed the OP here, but I thought I would ask the question in case he doesn’t take the time to register and re-post here.


From The History And Development Of Small Arms Ammunition, Vol. 2, Hoyem page 121 (British section):

“1 inch Nordenfelt-Palmcrantz, circa 1880. Reddish brass 3.75” rolled case, body folded over at the base…with a single wrap of thin white paper pasted on 0.80" up the case wall. The case body is inserted in a one-piece base cup… which is held to the case body by a hollow Boxer style rivet…"
