12.7x99 by I.C.I. from 1951

I was a bit surprised to see ICI logo on ammo. I guess I don’t get around too much. How common is it?

Hi Vlad

The use of ICI on Kynoch .50 calibre cases during the 1950s was very common. I think that it was only used for export contracts, as British military rounds of the same period still use the “K” headstamp.

Hi Vlad,

The ICI line of 12.7mm ammunition was intensively used in the Royal Netherlands Navy. I’ve seen them in AP, API and T variants. These cartridges are totally not scarce in Holland.
