18 pounder ID

I was lucky enough to have just picked up a WW1 18 pounder with its Wicker Basket Carrying Case ,all in good condition ,the fuse is by Vickers and the case markings are , M D Co , and under that B D K , the case is dated 1916 ,can someone please tell me who made it and what dose BDK stand for

M D Co. is the Metal Drawing Company of St.Catherine’s, Ontario, but no joy on BDK. As M D Co made the case, probably BDK was the loader. BD was the abbreviation for the Bedford inspection office but I do not think this applies here.

Any chance of a photo of the case?
