20x110RB mm (Oerlikon) BPF headstamp

I have a fired 20mm Oerlikon case with the headstamp: BPF Oe Z 41

Does anyone have an idea who BPF are/were? The Z in the headstamp points towards British use (Z=nitro cellulose)

  • According with the info I have from Mr. Paul Cornish [Department of Exhibits & Firearms, Imperial War Museum, London, UK] the British company which manufactured [only] 20X110RB shell cases and used “BPF” as maker’s mark is unknown. Liviu 02/16/07

Thanks for that info Liviu
