30-06 vs 30 Spg

I have a 30-06 cartridge marked .30 SPG D.C.Co. but with what appears to be a “modern” jacked bullet with an exposed lead tip. Also the primer is “silver” in color. Is this a reload? I am not familer with D.C.Co. headstamp, Is this an older case or correct? Any information would be appreciated.

Joe–D.C.Co. is Dominion Cartridge Company of Canada. They used the headstamp you asked about from about 1910 until 1947 when it was changed to “DOMINION”. The .30-06 was loaded with 110 gr. and150 gr. pointed soft point bullets. Both brass and nickel primers were used.
