.303 British id needed

Bought a .303 ball round, head stamp reads double up arrow 1941 VIII Z purple ring around primer. Was this cartridge made by Royal Labs? Curious as to what the double up arrows mean. Sorry I cannot provide head stamp photo.

That is MOSF Spennymore, who used the dual broad arrow from 1940-1942 before changing to “SR”. Done to hide the location of the factory by not using a letter code. Similarly, MOSF Radway Green used a single broad arrow between 1940 and 1941, before changing to “RG”

Thanks guys, you really can help me.

The purple annulus and the VIIIZ, means it is a Mark 8 Ball cartridge, loaded with nitrocellulose powder instead of cordite.
