.303 Incendiary bullet fake

#1

I presume this .303 bullet is not a genuine incendiary one. It came from a case marked “K5 44 BVIIZ”. The round had been inerted, and the bullet was loose. i presume this is an ordinary bullet with the tip (very badly) painted blue. Genuine incendiary bullets are illegal in GB, so I would be glad if it wasn’t genuine. Is there anyone out there who can say for certain?

This is a .303 BVIIZ incendiary bullet with light blue tip. Lenght is 36mm.
I am sorry for bad picture.

Thanks Vittorio, I now know my bullet is definitely not a BVII incendiary, and is probably a ball bullet with blue paint on it, so no question of legality in GB.

Vittorio–You are correct. This is a standard Mk-8 Ball bullet.
None of the Incendiary .303 British bullets has a boattail.

If this is a .303 Mk VIII bullet, I will keep it, as that is relevant to my British ammo collection. I didn’t know that’s what it was. I will now have to try to source a case to go with it.
