Thought this might be of some interest to a few collectors.
I wonder how successful the 32 WS was with black powder. Rifles had the same rate of twist as the 32-40, which accounts for the ability to digest black. The 30 WCF used a much faster twist and would foul quickly with black. Cool ad. Thanks!

THe posibility of been charged with black powder was the reason of .32 Win. Special.
This way you buy one rifle and you have two. As long as you can get .32 Win. Spl. ammo you have a powerfull rifle (for the time) and if you get no more ammo or if you want to reload, you have a rifle with the .32-40 ballistic.
