In another forum, someone had asked for information about the .38 Remington. A picture indicated a round that resembles the .35 Remington with HS UMC 38 REM, and a U on the primer. Allegedly there may have been a few Remington Model 8s made in this caliber. I had never heard of it. Does anyone know more about it?
I am having to trust my memory but, I believe that the Remington Museum in Ilion, NY has a Model 8 in this caliber. I think it claimed to be one of only a few made around 1910. I’ve never seen a cartridge.
I believe there is a drawing of the .38 Remington in the Journal issue 473 on page 18.
