44 S&W with headstamp G + star

Here is a picture of the case 44 S&W made by SFM, France.
What is a meaning of the star after letter G?
Thanks for any info

According to “French Small-Firearm Cartridge Headstamps,” by Christian Clanet, the G* Headstamp is explained as follows:

“The letter G, usually followed by a five-pointed star and the caliber (7 mm; .32, .450, etc.).
This stamp was only used for second quality cartridges.”

Thanks, John!
