45 ACP what?

Shooting range pick-up, many rounds, must be recent. Is it Indian?

I THINK that’s “Independent” or “Independence” (something like that), a name used by CCI.

Independence Brand is correct. The first loads were made by CBC of Brazil. The cases are now made in America and loaded here. You can tell the Brazilian ones easily because they have the typical bras primer with a stylized, flat bottom “V” stamped on the primer. There has been more than one U.S. Case Maker for this brand, but in .45, I have only seen the Brazilian one and one U.S. Case maker’s headstamp so far. In other calibers, shape of letters and the presence or absence of a dot on the headstamps tells us there is more than one firm making cases with the I headstamp in the U.S.A.
