Hi Folks , I have a non standard looking 45 Colt Revolver round ,the easy part is the headstamp WRA 45 COLT parts of the hs. have a Red colour in them ,but it has a much longer and heavier than normal round nose lead bullet ,it looks to be about 300gn. total OL is 1.735 as against a standard 1.59 and .500 out of the case ,a special loading for what??? thanks Randy
Photos would help, but it sounds like it may be one of the early souped up cartridges such as the 45 Casull. They were originally loaded in 45 Colt brass but the OAL prevented them from being fired in the weaker revolvers (hopefully). Several different ones existed and they were all originally wildcats.
