.50-110 Winchester Ex. & H.V

#1

Recently acquired two new .50-110s as seen on the left and right. From the best I can figure the item on the left is a black powder loading and it features the 300 gr. bullet with a copper plug and “X” mark. Same “EX.” headstamp as the middle item that I think is a smokeless load with the jacketed 300 gr. The item on the right has the same jacketed bullet but sports the “W.H.V.” headstamp with a different font and I would guess is the youngest of the bunch.

Were there any .50-110 headstamped loads with a 450 gr. bullet or were they all marked something different like “.50-100”?

Thanks,
Dave
