.50 BMG: Wat Sabot is it?

I bought a “fantasy” dummy cartridge (with no powder in it).
But I cant find out witch manufacturer it is.

I must try to get it out of the brass to see the rest of the sabot.
Here a picture of it:

Wouldn’t this sabot hold a .30 cal bullet in the .50BMG case?

The seller on the Gunbroker link is Dave Call from the store name & Dave posts on this forum and the buy/sell/trade forum.

Hm,… ok. The website don’t allow me to see the content.

What happened?

So that’s just a seller but who make it?

A couple different companies made the sabots. They sold them to anyone, individual shooters, to load into ammunition. Some sabots were clear blue, some clear, some blue gray like illustrated. I know of no way to tell which company made the sabot and it’s impossible to know who loaded the sabot into a cartridge case, unless you acquired it from the loader.

The .30 bullets fired in a .50 bore didn’t stabilize too well. .50 is 1:15 inch twist, most .30 projectiles needed faster twist than that.
