50 Browing Machine Gun

Are there any books published on the 50 Browning Machine Gun cartridge that go to a more current date than HWS’s book
Thank You Carolyn

Carolyn—The best thing for modern info on .50 BMG field issue cartridges (not experimental rounds) is the Army/Air Force manual TM 9-1305-2–/TO 11A13-1-101 entitled “Small-Arms Ammunition.” The latest issue I have is June 1961, but it is available right up to date. A new edition is issued about every 5 years. Of course there is also the operations manual for the .50 Cal. M2 Machine Gun which has a section on the ammunition.

TM 43-0001-27, 29 April 1994, has a little more up-to-date info.

HWS III has it all. ;)

Ray–That manual which covers .22 LR to 30mm is available as a PDF file here:

And if it is more “modern” 50 cal. cartridges" your want info on…contact IAA member, Ron Fuchs, he has an ever evolving set of CD’s with his .50 database/reference info on them… as well as a set on 5.56.
