Couldn’t agree more! Traded off my collection last year - but couldn’t resist keeping one. Such a graceful aesthetically pleasing shape - yup still talking about the .50 VHV! Nice label collection. Regards JohnP-C.

Green over red tip APT. Hst bunter strike not good - should read ‘AP T’.

How are the collecting-shipping laws in Greece ?

#6

Unfortunately - there is no way of collecting ammo in Greece legally. There are moves afoot to change the law. Anyone have any news on this? Meanwhile my collection resides in the UK - waiting for a hug on my next visit in February to take in the ECRA show at Bisley. Meanwhile I sit out sunny days tending my grapes & walking the dog! I just picked up a .5VHV 664 with the 664 in the headstamp. Not many of those about. Wasn’t Greece the birthplace of political freedom ?

THE .5VHV WITH 690 BULLET WEIGHT IN THE HS IS TYPICAL BUT HERE IS ONE WITH THE LIGHTER .664 WEIGHT IN THE HS NEXT TO THE TYPICAL HS.

Was the 50 vickers high velocity ever used in combat, and if so in what? Or was it just an expermintal round?
