I have a .577 Nitro 2¾"
One can see a N stamped on the upper side of the case.
Any comments would be much appreciated
Thanks
Michel

Not seen this before, but some few military example have stamps in the case at the mouth. Usually much smaller and with a series of numbers.
This is not a Nitro load with a lead bullet. With the relatively late nitro headstamp & this lead bullet it should be a Nitro for Black load, and an odd one at that. BUT perhaps a collector or shooter marked it, for some personal reason? Nicely done, but no idea why. Sorry.
The “N” could be a “Z” ?
