I have 2 questions about a very smartly made French-Belgian-Algerian-Maroc co-production film called “Indigènes” imdb.com/title/tt0444182/ about French colonial troops from North Africa fighting in WWII Europe.
- The troops are armed with mostly MAS-36 rifles. Where were the rifles and 7.5x54 ammunition made if France was under occupation?
- The movie shows French colonial troops fighting in Italy. Is this historically correct?
