Don’t forget Zinc washed steel. The “Silver Bear” line uses this type of case material/finish. The box says “Zinc plated steel case” however. The same thing applies to the “Golden Bear” brand. The cases are brass washed steel, but the box says “brass plated”. Maybe the two terms are thrown around too easily or their definitions are not as clear as we would like. I always was under the impression that “plating” left a thicker coating than a “wash”, and had less to do with when the finish was applied. I’ll have to stop into the local plating business here in town and get educated…

Ron,
there are also zinc washed dummies around too from Bulgaria and Hungary.
"Washed"as per EOD’s definition for the coppering process: “Copper washed (the copper coating is applied after the case is fully done): the extractor groove is covered with copper as the whole case is.”

Hans–Thank you. I will add “Zinc WASHED” to the list.
