7.62x45 box question

#1

The 1st box has rounds in chargers, the 2nd does not. Why? Isn’t it easier to make just one set of boxes and labels? The box with chargers is much longer and has a special insert to compensate for difference in length. Why to go through this headache of having different inventories, it is not war time any more? Also, what is “prozatimni baleni”?

#2

I think “prozatimni baleni” means “internal general packaging”

#3

Prozatímni baleni means “Provisional Pack.”

II Prebaleno bxn 9 56 - II neans “Repacked by “bxn” (Sellier & Bellot) 9 September 1956.”

Thanks to Vit Krcma for this information.

Using up old stores of boxes from another caliber, such as 7,9x57mm?

I have a couple of crates of 7,62x45, all packed in “provisional” boxes, which are 7,9x57 cartons ( compared with original early 1950s 7,9 cartons.).

Economy of packaging… used the same crates as 7,9x57 as well.
