  1. Yes,this is a steel case only coverd with thin brass.
  2. Good quality German WWII cases make good money.

I know only the price of shotshells !!! lol
I discovered all these rounds asking for shotshells to a guy !!!
When he told me he had some big cases i say : why not ! perhaps they are some punt gun shells.

Why are the german cases scarce ? With the millions of rounds they shot !
And many battles were in West Europe.

Most large artillery shells are and were “recycled” at some point - brass and steel have a decent value as a scrap metal.
