7x57 FMJBT?

Are all 7x57 FMJ spitzer bullets flat base, or have any been boattail? If there are 7x57 FMJBT projectiles, what is the weight and manufacturer? Photos?

In Spain the 7 x 57 was loaded for military use until about 1963. The last production lots from the '50s on had a PP bullet (the spanish name for pointed boattail). But some experimental rounds were loaded with streamlined bullets from the 20’s on.

The cartridge drawings were standarized in 1956 in the Reglamento de Cartuchería R-32 (small arms ammunition regulations).

Here is the drawing for the FMJBT spanish cartridge, late production model with GM jacket, lead-antimony core, bullet weight 9,85 g.

Muchas gracias for that info.

Do you know what headstamp(s) have the PP bullet?

Is Spain the only country to have loaded FMJBT bullets in 7x57 ammo?

If these were last produced circa 1963, does that mean they’re now hard to find?
