8 mm CF shotshell

#1

This shotshell is from Italian origine and rarely seen outside this country till now.
The case is either all plastic or all nickeled brass.
On the bottom side of the metal one is engraved : CA 8/44 CF BX
(8 been the caliber and 44 mm the length of the case)
As you can see the case is conical and not straight.
Therounds have no htsp.
These rounds are made by Eurocom Munizioni
They are listed in CIP dimensions

In Italy we call it “8 mm Flobert”.you can find them with brass cases too

1- 8 mm CF- primed with a standard shotsahell primer

2 - 8 mm RF- primed with a 6 mm Flobert blank star crimped

3 - 8 mm magnum - primed with a small pistol primer

Funny to call a center fire ctge Flobert !!
the cip (as the designation on the boxes) is not Flobert

JP,
I know that these pictures are CF but we call them Flobert due their similarity to 9 mm flobrt rounds.Actually we indicate as Flobert rounds every little shotshell ( and in some regions air rifles too) used to hunt little birds or rats

I know this is an uncorrect name, but when you go into an italian gunshop and you ask for a box of these rounds, every 8 mm shotgun owner says " give me a box of 8 mm flobert".

The first one is primed with a 6 mm flobert blank cap ( maybe is for this reason we call these rounds 8 mm Flobert
The second one has to be primed with a standard sized shotshell primer
The 2 cases are 44 mm long

Hi,

You had a “img” code error, it happens to everyone, so no worries smile
If you do a “quote” of my post, and compare the “img” begining and end code sets you will be able to see the changes I made to your origional post.
