8 x 60R guedes vs 8 x 60R kropatschek

#1

Just curious,I would like to know the differences between the 8 x 60R Guedes and the 8 x 60R Kropatschek cartridges. They appear to be almost identical but are listed separately in many books

Thanks

Good question Pivi. I have read many differing opinions on that subject. I know that the original M85 ammunition for the Guedes had a round nosed paper patched lead bullet. The M1886 Kropatschek cartridges had CN or CNCS jacketed bullets. I used to reload for the M1886 Kropatschek rifles and carbines and the earlier dated cases won
