I have a couple 7.92 rounds I have questions regarding the headstamps.
I describe the headstamp starting at noon and going clockwise. Both are 4 position stamps.
#1) * 14 * 19 (so when you look at it, it reads 1914 across the base)
- This is a brass cased M88 with CN projo, brass uncrimped primer.
- Obviously made in 1914, but by who?
#2) Eagle | 34 | N | 7,9 |
- This is a brass case, cncs projo, green p/a, uncrimped brass primer
- Obviously a Polish heavy ball, but why the “7,9” instead of the usual “67”?
- Could it be for export?
