Ammunition maker- Geo. Hopkins & Co?

#1

Has anyone read of a company that could be a "subcontractor " called: Geo. Hopkins & Co?
Would you know what calibers were made?
Thank you for any info.

There was a speculation on another forum that Geo. Hopkins & Co made clips for Kynoch as a subcontractor in the WWI period. But no other information beyond that.

George Hopkins & Co. was a brass maker located at 46/8 Camden Street, Birmingham and during WWI had several contracts for the manufacture of base plugs for various models of grenades. The marking used was “G.H.&Co.”.

I don’t think is likely that they made steel clips.
