Another .45 ACP ID

I was asked about the following .45 ACP round, and I’ve seen it but don’t have it in-hand.

It has a CNCS bullet (highly magnetic), brass case and primer, with a smooth cannelure at mid-case. The headstamp is a simple 45 at 12:00. It appears to be pre-WWII to me, but I am surely no expert. Is it US or foreign manufacture? Who might the end-user have been?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Jon, it is hard to say without a picture, but it seems that you are describing a cartridge manufactured by Cartoucherie Belge, S.A. Regards, Fede.

This may be your unknown .45 ACP, discussed by Fede & John Moss: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11098

I even participated in that discussion! I must be getting old. Maybe I should get the round.
