Another funny thing...750 Nitro Express

#1

Well,
an Italian gunsmith made a special-ordered double rifle in this caliber. The cartridge was ideated by the customer ( an american guy) and made by Barnes, especially for him.No other rifle was chambered for this cartridge.
I have seen the rifle and the ammunition,it is a scaled up version of the 700 NE,with an approx. 89 mm case and a 1300 gr solid bullet
The rifle was not bought by the customer and it is worth approx 250,000 euro
( note: without engraving )

Marco

Several collectors have an even bigger cartridge, the 12 Gauge From Hell. I have one but don’t ask me why.

Ray, not only do I still own 2 of them (I gave my sabot loaded one to “some wildcat guy” at a SLICS), I’ve fired Ed’s monster several times.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,do you have a spare 585 Nyaty sample???
However, the 750 NE and the 12 gauge from hell looks very very similar.

#5

I don’t have a spare 585 Nyati, but IIRC Dave Call at Ammo-One has some (along with the means to inert them).
The bottleneck in that photo is the 577 T-Rex BTW, not a Nyati.

another one that I miss…

#7

Sorry, what is that rimless 600 NE (?) in your photo?

#8

It’s .600 Overkill and belted.

#9

.585 NYATI, .577 TYRANNOSAUR, .600 OVERKILL, .500 NE, .600 NE, .700 NE.

Sigh,I miss the first ones. They are a bit too much expensive, maybe I will be able to find out some fired cases.
