Another one

I am assuming that the W.R. on this stands for Westley Richards and the K for Kynoch. Any help with dates etc. would be most welcome.


.425 Westley Richards Magnum, introduced in 1909.
Shown in George Hoyem’s ‘History and Development of Small Arms Ammunition’ Vol.3, P104/105.
Various bullet types were all 410 grain, powder charge was 65 grains of Cordite. Rebated rim to fit standard Mauser bolt face.
The Westley Richards cartridge box shown in the book has Patent 27,166 08 relating to the rifle.
