Best way to preserve full boxes?

I have a perhaps 10 old to very old boxes of cartridges and would like to know if “handy wrap” is the only way seal them? Or is there a more professional looking way I can do it without buying some sort of machine?

Thank you,

I am sure there are better ways, but I personally use Saran wrap with Scotch tape for my shotshell boxes. It tends to shrink somewhat over time and smooths out any wrinkles or looseness.

Just my own personal opinion, but I prefer not to wrap the boxes in anything. I’d rather have them in their natural state to look at, handle, and enjoy. For boxes that may be in pieces, I use plastic wrap to keep everything together until I can find a replacement in better condition.

The same for cartridges - no plastic tubes, lacquer, or any other coating.
