Blank question

I picked this up at the ECRA meeting at Bisley last Sunday. I assume that it’s a blank based on the 30-06 cartridge. The headstamp reads ‘AMA’ at 12 o’clock and ‘62’ at 6 o’clock. So, it’s Danish, the primer is struck and the case is brass.

Does anyone know what it was used for and what the rings around the case signify?

Happy collecting, Peter

It’s a normal Danish M52 “noise” blank. In 1958, this model blank had the grooves added to stop it being confused with the M50 grenade blank made for the “Energa” grenade launching. Chris P.
