Contract for modernization of US Army Lake City Ammunition Plant

From U.S. DoD Contracting News: Olin Winchester LLC, East Alton, Illinois, was awarded a $28,313,481 fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment contract for production of small caliber ammunition and the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Bids were solicited via the internet with three received. Work will be performed in Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 27, 2029. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois is the contracting activity (W52P1J-19-F-0742).

So Olin is back as future operator.
Was current operator Northrop Grumman (the new owner of Alliant/ATK) among the three bidders?

I didn’t pull the acquisition details. I would assume NG (ATK), GD, and Olin were the bidders.

That is correct. Olin/Win on their own (last time they teamed with BAE Systems), GD with Vista and NGC (former OATK). I don’t know how the wrong award value got in there. Max potential is $8.3 Billion on contract # W52P1J-19-D-0085. The other number is something else.

Here is the link to the award.

NGC will run it until 9/30/2020 and Winchester takes over 10/1/2020.

Looks like one news source goofed and everyone followed suit. I looked on for W52P1J-19-F-0742 and I cannot find it.

Jay, thank you for the information. I find it difficult to keep up with the changing names of what now seems to be NGC.

Its hard to keep track for me!
NG - Northrop Grumman
NGC - Northrop Grumman Corporation - email & website
NGIS - Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems = division that runs LCAAP

My source was
about 3/4 of the way thru the list of award announcements…

FBO’s award notice has certainly different numbers and values from what issued. ;-{/
