Does anybody know anything about this 7.65 ammo?

I only found one box and it’s unopened. Anyone what it is and it’s value? I’m afraid to open it for fear of ruining the value.


This is Swiss-made 7.65m/m Parabellum (.30 Luger) ammo from the Eidgen

These are pretty close to what you have in the box. One is headstamped 53, the other 49. Your 52 will be in the middle.

The steel jacketed bullets in these years usually have a CN coating, you see a switch to brass in the late 1950s.

Since the Swiss managed to keep their neutrality during the major conflicts in the 20th century, there is a very decent supply of surplus Swiss ammunition, going back to the early 1900s, making it a nice area of collecting.
