Why is it made in USA when DSG is Norwegian? They have no own production facilities?
Are any hs known or are any images of the cartridges available?
It would be interesting to see the difference between A-W and W-W projectiles.
Further the W-W version raises the question as for the weapon it is to be used with.
Alex, their ammunition is being made by PNW Arms. The US address of DSG is in McLean, Virginia but it is not a production facility, just an American style wooden house.
I’m not sure of their differences, a brochure describes both cartridges and they look exactly the same. Bullet is made of brass, weight is 125 grains, Vo 2000 fps/610 m/s (X2) and CCI primer. Also, it is mentioned that both cartridges are used in “standard weapons”.
Maybe you can shoot into water in a rainy day?
Images of the cartridges can be found at http://www.dtic.mil/ndia/2012armaments/Wednesday14038morgan.pdf and on a previous posting http://iaaforum.org/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=13917&view=next.
DSG data sheets for 7.62x51mm and 50 BMG were available on the web, but the links no longer work. The information can be found at http://www.defensereview.com/revolutionary-dsg-supercavitating-rifle-ammo-for-shooting-underwater-into-the-water-or-out-of-the-water-multi-environment-ammunition-mea-makes-its-debut-photos-and-video/.
I like the “100% Berry compliant” in the DSG presentation…
does anyone have them “in hand”?
sure would be nice in the “special purpose” drawer !
(soon we will need “air to snow” in Green Bay, Wisconsin)
