Fiocchi M38 Parabellum help

I cannot figure this one out. The headstamp: “9.M 38 f.” at 12 o’clock and “1944” at 6 o’clock.

This is a 9 M38 ( itself a 9 mm Parabellum) made by Fiocchi in 1944 for use in the MAB machine pistol

worldwar.it/sito/munizioni/i … 9-x-19-m38

There’s a very good article ( divided into 4 parts) about this “italian 9 mm Parabellum” in the Armi & Tiro magazine , with some of the original drawings too

Note that in Italy the 9M38 cartridges made during the war for the MAB are considered an unique cartridge instead a mere 9 mm Parabellum variation only .

By “MAB” I presume you mean the M38 Beretta machine pistol?

I normally associate MAB with the French weapon.

MAB = Moschetto Automatico Beretta ( Automatic Beretta Musket)

Here we call the Model 38 simply “the MAB”
