How well did they inspect ammo during WWI? :space_invader:

Not sure, but it seems there is an hole in the lower part of the 8.

Yes, you are correct, I’ll investigate when I get home from work. Too much stuff from SLICS, but I am not complaining :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Looks like the black primer seal got on to the 8.

No I don’t think, it’s something else.

This hole is about 1.5mm deep, very centrally located and well formed and round. I cleaned it up. Don’t know what it is too.

Amazing what a different angle can do! Laurent was clearly correct.

I think it has something to do with a drilling machine problem.

There was documents somewhere on cases with such holes - obviously on purpose.
I just do not remember in which document…

On the 7.9 kurz the one hole was on purpose…I think I read somewhere for pressure tests inside the primerpocket…
Others are clearly misindexed primerhole-drilling machines…
Maybe in the book from RA Berg…

It may be helpfull to measure the diameter of the holes and compare to the diameter of the flash channels.
