I know of the 16 round military boxes in WWI and WWII. Were there also 50 rounders or other sizes of military packaging?
Almost all German military boxes through WWII are 16 round. In WWI there were some 50 round boxes but these were not for the German military but a contract for the Dutch. In early WWII there were 50 round boxes with military style labels, but these may have actually been for the police or ??? German (and German occupation) ammo is also found in other size boxes but this all seems to be for contracts like 50 round boxes of Geco (dnh) ammo but for Romania and the 30 round I pictured earlier, but with a Czech label for '43.
