Could someone tell me what these 2 terms are: Flat Nose and Full Patch. Thanks Tom from MN
Flat Nose means just what it sounds like - a projectile with a truncated or flat nose, as opposed to a round nose or spitzer tip. “Full Patch” generally means fully jacketed as far as the past 100 years use of the term, but it has fallen mostly out of use since post-war times, especially the past 30 years.
During the years the terms were popular, Winchester tended toward FULL PATCH, while Remington liked to use METAL CASED.
Both boxes date about 1915.
