A few years ago, Bin Shih wrote a book on Chinese small arms from the 2nd Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945). The Chinese language edition has great color photos and there is an English version with smaller B&W pictures.
He has just brought out an updated version in both Chinese and English.

Some of you may know Bin. He and I wrote an article some years ago on Chinese headstamps, and he provided a lot of support to Ken Elks for his recent book on Chinese ammunition.
Bin’s books are great references for an area that is, in my opinion, understudied in the West.
