Headstamp on 8x50R Lebel 1933 dated

#1

This is a 8X50R Lebel datted 1933 with CN headstamp at 9 o’clock and SF - at 3 o’clock.

As per standard French scheme the manufacturer’s code must be at 9 o’clock and metal supplier - at 3 o’clock

This specimen has code CN at 9 o’clock, which different sources make a different ID as:

  • Ateliers mécaniques de Normandie, Caen (which is correct, I think) or
  • Est Claudinon et Cie, Chambon-Feugerolles

And at 3 o’clock we have SF code, i.e. SFM

Help me please to understand who was supplier and who was manufacturer of this case

For me the manufacturer and CN (Ateliers mécaniques de Normandie, Caen) and the metal supplier SF (Société Française de munitions Issy les Moulineaux).
Attached photos of 8x50R lebel with the code SF which will be transformed I (Société métallurgique franco-belge à Issy les Moulineaux ).

Attached photos of 8x27R Lebel Revolver with the code SF which will be transformed I (Société métallurgique franco-belge à Issy les Moulineaux ), between 4 ° quarter 1935 and 3 ° quarter 1936
