Help on dimensions of a full 450 Gatling packet

I need some help getting the exact dimensions of a full 450 Gatling or Gardner Gatling or .45 MG packet (since they are all the same cartridge with minor case length variations). This is the Royal Labs packet, not the commercial contractors packets or boxes (ie. Kynoch, etc). I recently purchased what I believe is a case for the Gatling cartridges, but need to figure out exactly how many packets the case will hold, thus the need for dimension. If it doesn’t hold the correct number of cartridges, it will turn out not to be what I expected.

Please don’t give me the dimensions of a 577/450 packet or a Snider packet. They would give me the wrong count.

Thanks for anyone that can help.

Cheers,
Will.

An R/L MG .45 in. dated 1899 I have is 3.295" long, 2.607" wide and 1.084" thick. This is a Cordite MK I ball packet with the red or orange patch.

Perfect. They are the correct length. Thanks Pete. Much appreciated.

See you soon at St. L.

Cheers,
Will.
