ID 12GA “N.A & A Co.” Brass Shot Shell

Have a brass NPE shot shell 12 gauge the head stamp is “N.A & A Co.” No 12 “Patent”, would someone know what the full name of the company? Thanks

National Arms & Ammunition Co., Birmingham UK

I know nothing about shot shell but it could be National Arms and Ammunition Co., Birmingham, England. Don’t hold me to that!

Looks like cztrouba beat me to it!

Thank you Bob for the information. Tim

Also known in 10, 14 and 16 ga., with and without push-out anvils, and in different sizes of lettering (and placement of the periods) in the headstamp. They also made paper shells which are quite uncommon.

Thank you Pete for you informative information. Tim

Here are the 2 anvil types that Pete refers to. I was surprised at the difference in thickness of brass in the head.
