Id .22 lr nickeled case

Does anyone know the meaning of nickel plating on this .22 LR manufactured by RWS in the 30s or 40s?

Hola Ximo,

It was made by DWM for semi-auto pistols.

Is it a steel case ?

It’s not steel, it looks like nickel-plated copper

Hola Fede, thank you for the info.

Thanks ximo

Here’s another nickeled case 22 with an impressed DWM “bomb” headstamp.

The three grooved bullet also appears to be nickel plated. There is a knurled canular in the case near the case mouth. The case is non magnetic. It’s hard to seen from the picture but the head is slightly concaved.
Any thought to why the bullet was nickeled and the intented pirpose of this round?

This is a dummy then.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case.

I don’t think it would be a dummy because DWM made three different nickeled loads: nickeled case, nickeled bullet, and nickeled case and bullet.

Fede, maybe.
The one I have came out of a box saying “Exerzierpatronen”.
