Incredibly fascinating history video of the development of multipurpose ammunition by NAMMO

Just watched this super fascinating video of the history of NAMMO’s development of their multipurpose ammunition. It was a mistake.

Jason, thanks a lot!
For most of our small caliber friends here it may be worth to mention that the MPP ammo being talked of here is the medium caliber HEI variants which work without fuze.
To be seen here on the left:

The video is not the .50 variants with TC cores.
Though NAMMO has developed a 25x137 variant of the combined APHEI-T too and named it “APEX”. Already adopted by the USAF:

I met Mr Strandli a few years ago at a Nammo event (he was long retired by then) and he gave me a copy of his book Interior ballistic related to weapons and ammunition, which is a relatively simple guide intended for non-specialists. It’s almost simple enough for me to follow…

Worth mentioning that the (in)famous NM140 MP and NM160 MP-T (Mk 211 and Mk 300) are developed from the NM75 20x139 MP-T which likewise contains no traditional fuse/safety system, allowing a larger payload so to speak.

Now I really want an inert example of that APFSDS LOL.

I had to watch this video a few times, I was so fascinated by it and the history it discussed.
