ISRAELI 1919 BROWNING MACHINE GUN BELT/Soviet style links?

#1

A seller on GunBroker has a belt that is listed as:ISRAELI 1919 BROWNING MACHINE GUN BELT-.308-
http://www.gunbroker.com/item/623205101

It looks like a common G-43 Goryunov/PK/PKM belt except that it has Israeli (Hebrew character) marks stamped into every link. I was not aware of Israeli usage of 7.62x54R machine guns, but I would expect the Israelis to have captured them in quantity. Does anyone have the backstory on these belts?

Thank You

Those MGs, in 7.62x54R, saw use in the IDF in the 1970s and '80s, mainly mounted on the vehicles they were captured with. I brought a short belt of them back with me and a few belt/link collectors scarfed them up very quickly.
