The Japanese copied these when they adopted the same 12.7x81SR Vickers export ammo for their Ho-103 aircraft gun (scaled-down Browning .50). They also developed their own fuzeless HE bullets using PETN under a thin metal nose cap, designed to detonate on impact without any safety mechanisms. They made them in calibres from 7.7mm to 20mm.
