Japanese NAVY 6.5 gallery practice round

Here is a imperial Japanese Navy 6.5x50SR "2 year type"short range practice round. It use a
large primer as propelling charge to shoot a lead ball.This case could be reused 200 times.As reinforce,this case have thicker rim than normal rounds.

Sheng, very interesting! It seems this one was totally missinterpreted in the past.

It was confused for years for a cartridge case made for a primer actuated rifle. Correct documentation about its use surfaced in Japan about ten years ago.
