Here are 2 shots of Krummerlauf (curved barrel device), a WWII German gun attachment which allows firing at 30* angle around the corner. Here it sits on MP44 at Syracuse, NY gun show. The connection to ammo topic is that this bent barrel thingy deforms a bullet when it hugs the curve.


It doesn’t merely deform the bullets; typically it tears them up something fierce so that what is coming out the muzzle is more like shrapnel than bullets.

Really neat bit of firearms history, though!



Also note that it has a grenade launcher device attached to the muzzle.
