Linked blank ID

These blanks are headstamped L C 7 9 Thy have a odd shape to the cartridge, The links have a crosshair in a circle on them and are stamped WM 5, any ideas?

The “crosshair in a circle” is the NATO interoperability mark, WM is Wells Marine Inc. The 5 on the link is probably a production machine line ident, I have seen several different numbers mixed in the same carton.

The links are standard M13 pattern links used by many countries in many different machine guns.

Those are US M82 blanks, they are like that to assist in feeding in semi/full automatic weapons. LC = Lake City arsenal 1979
