Look out for Russian 30mm sniper cartridges!

To keep it ammo related there is a cartridge shown. Now the caliber 30x165 is an official sniper cartridge for the SP-30 “small arm” shown below:

very impressive "rifle"
but i prefer this as the very common barrett and other 50 cal rifle and much less powerful that this 30mm rifle

Blimey … that would take the shine off your day, if you’re at the wrong end of it.

On the stand, at the top left, there seems to be an illustration showing other types of cartridge, does anyone know what these might be? Is the rifle single shot, magazine or belt fed?

look like breech loaded (same a american artillery 105mm)
the other types of shells would be
HEI
HEI-T
APHE-T
AP-T

Peter, the other rounds (as the one standing next to the gun) are regular ones as they are used for the 2A42 automatic gun. This caliber exists now for about 40 years.
